On 8 October, voters in Beaufort, Berdorf and Nommern will also submit their ballots for the municipal elections, after the June vote was cancelled for various reasons.
In Berdorf, the 11 June elections were postponed following the death of a candidate, while Beaufort saw the municipal election result cancelled after it transpired that a candidate was not registered with the council. Meanwhile, this time around, more candidates have joined the lists in Beaufort.
Voters in Nommern did not turn out at all in June as the election was cancelled entirely due to insufficient candidates. Residents will now have their chance to elect councillors to fill three vacant seats on Sunday, alongside the parliamentary elections.
