Two incidents required police attention overnight from Thursday to Friday.

A young man attracted attention at a petrol station in Leudelange in the early hours of Friday morning.

Reports suggest he was armed with a knife and acting aggressively at around 1.00am. He refused to cooperate with police and was subsequently immobilised.

A search revealed not only the knife, but an amount of hashish and cash as well. The public prosecutor was informed and a complaint filed.

Earlier in the night, two pedestrians were mugged by three young men in Ellergronn, Esch-sur-Alzette. One of the perpetrators threatened the victims with a pocket knife and succeeded in stealing two mobile phones, cash and a gold bracelet.
Police description:

  • The first suspect was around 1.87 metres tall and wore a dark T-shirt with stripes on the shoulders, a light brown pair of shorts and socks with flip-flops.
  • Suspect 2 was around 1.75 metres tall, had short hair and wore a dark top, jogging bottoms and sneakers.
  • Suspect 3 was 1.75 metres tall, had short hair, wore a dark T-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and carried a cross-body bag.
