Europol is appealing to the public for assistance in tracking down fugitives who have been sentenced to at least five years in prison but remain at large. The campaign involves authorities from 11 countries, including Luxembourg.

Luxembourg's law enforcement agencies are specifically searching for Said Nassiri, a 34-year-old Moroccan national. Nassiri was sentenced to 12 years in prison for extortion.

Between 2018 and 2019, Nassiri repeatedly used violence and issued threats against his victim and the victim's family, extorting €170,000. In addition, he forged an invoice in the name of a company to justify a payment of €100,000. In another case, Nassiri assaulted an individual after fraudulently renting out a property under a company name. He was also convicted of causing bodily harm, having attacked another victim so severely that they were left unable to work.

A European and international arrest warrant for Nassiri has been in effect since June 2025.

Authorities believe he is currently outside Europe.
