The average price of an apartment in the "central region" of Luxembourg now exceeds €830,000, according to a study published on Monday.

A new study published on Monday by atHome Finance has calculated the average price of an apartment in the "central region" of the country.

"The average price for an apartment is €830,789 Euros and €1,456,639 for a house," according to the report the group sent out on Monday morning. These averages are calculated on the basis of listed sale prices between September 2019 and September 2020 on the property website run by the group.

The study further states that the average apartment mortgage in the region comes to €729,096, with an average deposit of €102,770. 68% of buyers are looking for an apartment in the region. They may be motivated by price, but atHome notes that the properties on offer in this region are primarily apartments, which will also influence buyers' decisions.

93% of buyers intend to make the property their primary residence. In terms of demographics, the majority are between the age of 30 and 39 (50%), married (46%), and earn between €3,000 and €3,500 a month.
