During the night from Saturday to Sunday, police carried out breath tests at the request of the Public Prosecutor on Rue de Wilwerdange in Troisvierges and on the main street in Hosingen.
A total of 285 drivers were stopped for testing, even where there was no clear indication of intoxication. Seven drivers tested positive, resulting in four reports and on-the-spot fines.
One driver was reported for failing to present a valid driving licence, while another was found with a road tax sticker expired for more than sixty days, an offence carrying a €250 fine.
In addition, two drivers had two points deducted from their licences each – one for failing to register their vehicle and the other for non-compliant technical modifications.
