Symbolic Wooden Figurines63 million not allowed education

RTL Today
In Luxembourg, whether they like it or not, every child is guaranteed the right to education. However there are 63 million children who do not enjoy that same right.

The "63 Million" Project intends to highlight just this: in an exhibition for children by children, 63 wooden figurines stand hand in hand in the Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg, signifying those less fortunate for whom education is denied.

School classes from across the country then decorated each of these figurines. The project also aims to make pupils aware of the fact that not all children are guaranteed the same opportunities as they are.

CSI Lëtzebuerg, a State-recognised NGO, began the campaign 2 years ago, and has been launching similar projects for 30 years with the goal of making education accessible to all.
