To coordinate and prepare for further interventions, the emergency response group will meet during the night leading from Sunday into Monday.

Due to the red alert, which is active from 1am to 9am Monday, a warning has been issued that damage will be caused to houses and trees, and there will be transport issues for trains, flights, and roads.

The authorities are recommending that people stay at home and only leave their home if exceptionally necessary. 112 emergency services remain at your disposal, but should only be contacted in real emergency.

By 9pm on Sunday 9 February, emergency services were called out 215 times, 46 of which specifically due to the storm.

Tom Baring of CGDIS says no specific region is more affected than others, and the warning applies to the country as a whole. Baring also said that all emergency service response centres are on the ready, and 112 has been reinforced with additional staff to handle the increased volume of calls.
