Until 23 July, these new petitions will be available for signing on the Chamber of Deputies’ website. A petition must collect at least 5,500 signatures to be publicly debated in the Chamber.
As usual, the petitioners’ requests cover a range of subjects. Among them are calls for free tap water in restaurants, a digital AdaptO card without an expiration date, extended opening hours for the National Library in Kirchberg, and the recognition of English as an official language throughout the petition process.
Petitioners have also opposed the increase of contributing years as proposed in the new and highly disputed pension reform.
