Among the incidents, a collision involving four vehicles occurred on the CR102 between Keispelt and Schoenfels, completely blocking the road.
The Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) has also reported accidents between Calmus and Saeul, as well as on the A7 towards Luxembourg City at the Colmar-Berg slip road. These areas are currently blocked and should be avoided.
Slippery roads have also led to accidents and incidents on the CR356 between Savelborn and Ermsdorf, in Sanem, in Clemency, and in Kirchberg near the motorway exit just before the Serra roundabout. Conditions there are also described as extremely icy.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) has meanwhile reported several injuries since early morning. On Wednesday morning, vehicles left the road and ended up in ditches between Kockelscheuer and Bettembourg; in Gonderange, and between Brouch and Bech. In each of these cases, one person was injured.
Earlier, on Tuesday evening at around 10.30pm, a car overturned between Hobscheid and Schweich, leaving three people injured.
