Shortly after 5am, an accident on the A3 near the Gasperich interchange resulted in one person being injured. Around 40 minutes later, another collision occurred on the CR178 between Soleuvre and Limpach, when a vehicle crashed into a car, again injuring one person.
Just after 6am, a four-car pile-up was reported on the A7 between Schieren and Colmar-Berg, leaving one person injured. Five minutes later, three vehicles collided on the CR301 between Saeul and Calmus, with one person sustaining injuries. At 6.46am, two cars collided in Rue d’Ehlerange in Soleuvre, where two people were injured.
Shortly before 7am, a car struck a tree on the CR307 between Buschrodt and Wahl, injuring one person. A short time later, a major collision involving seven vehicles occurred on the A13 between Hellange and Frisange. One person was injured in this incident.
Further accidents were reported on the CR159 between Bivange and Fentange and on the RN22, with one person injured in each case. Just before 7.30am, a car overturned in Aspelt, resulting in one injury. At around the same time, another vehicle crashed into a tree on the CR324 between Pintsch and Bockholtz, injuring one person.
Shortly after 7.30am and again around 8am, two-car collisions occurred on the RN07 near Colmar-Berg and on the CR103 near Dippach. One person was injured in each of these accidents.
The series of incidents continued shortly after 8am, when another accident caused by icy roads occurred on the CR128 between Beaufort and Reisdorf, leaving one person injured.
Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly in light of hazardous road conditions.
