Welcome to the weekend! Take in classical music, visit a craft beer festival or agricultural fair, learn about Kirchberg or enjoy a local, free breakfast.

1. Have a musical Friday lunch break

What: Klassik am Park
Villa Vauban, 18, avenue Émile Reuter, L-2420 Luxembourg - Google Maps
When: Friday, 1 July at 12.30pm - more info here

If you work in the City and are looking to spice up your Friday lunch break, head down to the Villa Vauban gardens, where brass musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra are playing a free, 30-minute set in the sunshine. Not sure it's appropriate to actually be nibbling on your sandwich if you sit at the front, but I'm sure you'll find a moment or two to tear into that baguette if you're on the grass further in the back. PS: In case of rain, concerts are moved to the Protestant Church.

2. Visit agricultural fair

Each year Ettelbruck attracts people from all over the Greater Region with an interest for agriculture, biological products, research, forestry, agricultural machinery, gardening and more. In other words, everyone with green fingers could (and should) be found here. Even RTL Today Radio will be present Meredith and Nathan will be about the place to chat things up, possibly quizzing you on your vegetable garden knowledge or sharing random boring facts such as that average tree can provide enough wood to make 170,100 pencils.

What: Organised by Divertimento
13 Stenkel, 7652 Hiefenech, Luxembourg Google Maps

Besides the concerts themselves, guitar and mandolin builders present their work at craft stands. Entry is free on both days.

Since the installation of the first European institutions, the Plateau de Kirchberg has been constantly changing. From an administrative campus, it is currently developing into a mixed, densified district, which reconciles all the functions of urban life: housing, work and leisure. To raise awareness of the evolution of town planning and the challenges of the future, the Kirchberg Fund invites the public to a series of guided tours. These tours are free, but registration is required by emailing info@fondskirchberg.lu or calling 26 43 45 10. This week's tour is in Luxembourgish.
