Luxembourg actress Jil Devresse, known for her work on Capitani, appeared on the Sam Steen Show to chat about her upcoming play in English.
David Harrower's "Blackbird", directed by Myriam Muller, returns for its second run at the Théâtre du Centaure from Saturday 25 November.
Jil Devresse, perhaps best known for her dual role in Luxembourgish detective series Capitani, joined the Sam Steen Show on Wednesday morning to discuss the play and the challenges of returning to the stage.
Last year, Devresse received rave reviews for her role as Una, a young woman in her twenties who confronts her abuser fifteen years later. Through gripping dialogue, each in turn reveals how their lives have been turned upside down, subjected to the judgement of others, as the play unfolds. Devresse said it was a challenging, yet exciting endeavour, despite the difficult subject matter.
Next, Devresse will be returning to theatres in a German production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", with shows planned for Luxembourg in May.
More details and ticket information for "Blackbird" can be found on the theatre's website here.
