With no Siren's Call this year, music enthusiasts in Luxembourg might have worried that they'd be short of live music this summer but worry not, the Grand Duchy's positively bursting with music festivals.

 Here are five noteworthy festivals to consider including some free ones. 

1. Luxembourg Open Air

Dates: Season Opening: 9–10 May & Season Closing: 13–14 September

Location: Place de l'Académie, Belval & 4149 Esch-sur-Alzette

Held twice a year to open and close Luxembourg's festival season, the event has become a key fixture in the local music scene. The highly anticipated season opener at Place de l'Académie in Belval will showcase performances from 10 international DJs and several local artists, solidifying its position as Luxembourg's premier electronic dance music festival. Headliners include global stars such as John Newman. This year also introduces a new Season Closing event location, as the festival moves from Kirchberg to Esch-sur-Alzette.

2. Francofolies Esch/Alzette 2025

Dates: 6–8 June 2025

Location: Parc Gaalgebierg, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg

Celebrating its fifth edition, Francofolies Esch/Alzette is a vibrant festival showcasing contemporary music with a commitment to environmental sustainability. The 2025 lineup features international stars and emerging talents, including headliners like Timmy Trumpet, Marc Rebillet, and Julien Doré. Set in the picturesque Parc Gaalgebierg, attendees can enjoy a diverse musical experience amidst nature.

3. Out of the Crowd Festival 2025

Date: 19 April 2025

Location: Kulturfabrik, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg

Organised by the Schalltot Collective, the Out of the Crowd Festival is a haven for indie and alternative music lovers. The 2025 edition boasts an exciting lineup, including Karate (USA), Bambara (USA), Deadletter (UK), and Gurriers (Ireland). Held at the eclectic Kulturfabrik, this festival promises an immersive experience with a blend of music and art.

4. E-Lake Festival

Dates: 8–10 August 2025

Location: Lake Echternach, Echternach, Luxembourg

Set against the serene backdrop of Lake Echternach, the E-Lake Festival is a free three-day event that brings together genres like pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. With multiple stages, including a natural amphitheater, festival-goers can enjoy performances from both local and international artists. The festival also offers camping facilities, making it a perfect weekend getaway. 5. Blues'n'Jazz Rallye

Date: 19 July 2025

Location: Pfaffenthal, Clausen, and Grund districts, Luxembourg City

Transforming Luxembourg's historic districts into a musical haven, the Blues'n'Jazz Rallye is a must-attend for jazz and blues aficionados. With multiple stages set against the city's UNESCO-listed fortress backdrop, attendees can revel in free performances by numerous bands, ensuring a night filled with soulful rhythms and vibrant atmospheres. 6. City Sounds

Dates: 22 & 23 June 2025

Location: Champ du Glacis

The 1975, The Script, Toto, Robin Schultz, Morcheeba, Rag 'n' Bone Man. These are just some of the bands and artists who have come to play FREE concerts in Luxembourg at City Sounds over the last few years. It's back again this year but while there's been no announcements just yet we took a DRIVE BY the Ville de Luxembourg office to look for some clues, hopped on the TRAIN home but then decided to DROP (S OF JUPITER) it.
