Tali, the singer who brought Luxembourg to the Eurovision stage in 2024, is gearing up to release new music while reflecting on the pressures and joys of her groundbreaking journey.
With the Luxembourg Song Contest just over a week away, last year's winner, Tali, sat down with our colleagues from RTL Télé to reflect on her journey and share exciting updates about her music career.
Tali, who grew up immersed in music and began playing piano at the age of seven, is no stranger to the stage. An accomplished singer, theatre performer, and musical artist, she reached a career milestone in 2024 by winning the Luxembourg Song Contest and representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contest, where she secured a respectable 13th place.
While Tali has kept a relatively low profile in recent months, she has been hard at work in the recording studio. This spring, she is set to release an EP featuring six new songs. The first single, titled "Dear Parents," will drop on Friday. The track is a heartfelt tribute to her parents, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support throughout her life and career.
Given her global upbringing – Tali has called numerous cities around the world home – it's no surprise that the EP was written and recorded in diverse locations, including New York, London, and Paris.
In the interview, Tali opened up about her Eurovision experience, describing the immense pressure she felt to represent Luxembourg on the international stage. "My biggest insecurity [was] that I would disappoint Luxembourg," she admitted. However, the overwhelming support she received before, during, and after the competition – including a series of memorable performances in the summer of 2024 – remains a cherished highlight of her career.
Tali also shared some lesser-known aspects of her Eurovision journey, including the necessity of having a bodyguard and using a pseudonym for her safety during the event.
