A serious road accident occurred on Rue de Lasauvage in Rodange at around 11.30am on Friday, when a motorist lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a tree. Emergency services had to cut the driver free from the wreckage.

According to initial information, he was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed to traffic to allow rescue operations to proceed safely and was reopened at around 1pm.
