Jeanne Lehair delivered a strong performance at the World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) race in London, securing an eighth-place finish against a highly competitive field. With this result, she now sits in fifth place in the overall World Series rankings.

The London leg featured all of the sport's leading contenders, making for a particularly challenging race. Lehair began strongly, excelling in the swimming segment and ensuring she was part of a leading group on the cycling course.

Halfway through the bike portion, however, the front group was caught by the main pack. As a result, the final positions were decided during the run. Lehair managed to hold her own in the closing kilometres, crossing the finish line in eighth place and maintaining her presence in the top ten.

Three events remain in this season's WTCS schedule, including the World Championships, offering Lehair further opportunities to improve her standing in the series.

Before resuming international competition, Lehair will now take a short break, after which she will begin preparations for the next round of major events.
