The 16th edition of the 24-hour Wincrange cycling event once again proved a major success. After attracting 754 registered participants last year, the 2026 edition saw 900 cyclists take to the course.

A total of 103 teams entered the event, alongside 21 solo riders who completed the full 24 hours on their own. Five women's teams, five children's teams, and 11 e-bike teams also took part.

The event was first organised in 2007 as part of Télévie – an annual fundraising campaign to support cancer research –, when Wincrange was one of the campaign's fundraising centres in Luxembourg. Following the success of the inaugural edition, the 24-hour cycling challenge has been held every year since.

The starting signal was given at 8pm on Friday. Entertainment was provided at the venue, and participants also had the option of sleeping on site.

Catering was available for 30 hours, while the 3.5-kilometre course ran from Wincrange through Boevange and Lullange.
