On Thursday morning, national coach Jeff Strasser announced his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Northern Ireland.
Enes Mahmutovic is set to miss out with an abdominal muscle injury, while Yvandro Borges has not been signed off as fit to play by his club, Heracles Amelo.
In addition, Mica Pinto and Vincent Thill will both miss the fixtures due to injury. However, Mirza Mustafic is set to return to the squad after nearly a year. Finally, Adulai Djabi Embalo has been called up to the senior team for the first time after representing Luxembourg at U21 level.
The Red Lions will face Germany at the Stade de Luxembourg on 14 November, followed by their final away match of the round in Northern Ireland three days later.
