Shortly before the start of the third stage of the Tour de France Femmes in Geneva, Luxembourg's Nina Berton celebrated her 25th birthday with a small party thrown by her team, ahead of the 156-kilometre ride to Poligny.
Berton's birthday falls on 3 August, meaning she will celebrate her 25th year during Monday's 156.5-kilometre stage to Poligny.
The atmosphere at the Tour has been generally good, or so one gathers from more of the pictures posted by the EF Education-Oatley team. Faced with the high temperatures, the riders have been cooling off with water pistols and making sure to keep spirits high.
The good mood may also owe something to the fact that EF wrapped up the second stage as the best team.
Berton is the only Luxembourger at the start of the Tour de France Femmes and lies in 63rd place overall after the first two stages, three minutes and four seconds off the pace.
