During the first stage of works, from 15 to 27 July, all traffic will be routed in both directions through the tube heading towards Germany. The on-ramp from Schengen towards Bettembourg will be closed during this period.
Drivers wanting to travel towards Bettembourg will be diverted: they must take the opposite direction until they reach the Perlé exit, from where they will be redirected onto the A8 towards Luxembourg, before passing through the Markusbierg tunnel on the Luxembourg-bound side.
The second phase runs from 27 July to 8 August, during which all traffic will use the tunnel in the Bettembourg direction. Throughout the entire maintenance period, speed limits in the affected area will be reduced to 70 kilometres per hour.
