This is the recommendation that Luxembourg's Ministry of Agriculture was given by an expert sent by the European Commission.
Minister of Agriculture, Romain Schneider, explained on Monday afternoon that the Ministry was in touch with hunters and reiterated that this target is supposed to be reached by the end of July.
Hunters will apparently receive an indemnity of €100 for every boar shot in that zone.
These animals are then examined and tested for the dangerous virus.
Aside from these steps, there are active plans to extend the length of the fence on the Luxembourgish side, should the disease spread further on the Belgian side.
More about this was broadcast on Monday evening on Journal on the Radio and on TV (in Luxembourgish).
