A suspect was spotted sitting at a bus stop in Bertrange with a woman’s purse when he fled from approaching police officers. Moments earlier, he had assaulted a woman on Route de Longwy. After a brief chase, the man was apprehended. He is now due to appear before a judge.
Meanwhile, police also received several reports of car break-ins over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon in Binsfeld, a car window was smashed and two bags were stolen. In Strassen, on Rue de Reckenthal, a thief broke a car window but was caught in the act by the vehicle’s owner and fled the scene.
