BettembourgTwo suspects arrested after attempted break-in

On Thursday, 3 February, the police received reports about two unknown individuals who tried to break into a car in Bettembourg.

Shortly afterwards, the police also received reports about an attempted burglary into a house in the vicinity. Following a search operation, the two presumed culprits could be located.

Over the course of the investigation, it transpired that one of the two presumed culprits was already known to the authorities because he is subject to a travel ban. The public prosecutor’s office was informed and both suspects were arrested and presented to an examining magistrate.

Mugging in Pétange

At around 7pm on Wednesday, a teenager was attacked by two unknown individuals on Route de Niedercorn in Pétange. The adolescent was threatened with a knife and robbed. The two culprits managed to escape.
