
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, European Council President António Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Luxembourg on Friday, 9 May, to mark Europe Day.
Prime Minister Luc Frieden extended the invitation as part of Luxembourg’s celebrations. In a statement released by the Ministry of State, the government emphasised the day’s significance: “Europe Day presents a special opportunity to reaffirm Luxembourg’s commitment to the EU’s founding values – peace, solidarity, and cooperation among nations.”
The visit will include a walking tour through Luxembourg City, featuring stops at key locations tied to European Union history.
