Tim Karius will become mayor while Philippe Gengler and Jean-Marie Hermann will take over as aldermen. This means that after close to two decades, the reign of outgoing mayor Arnold Rippinger has come to an end.
The elected officials were initially scheduled to be sworn in on Thursday, but the ceremony had to be postponed.
