
On Monday evening, a disturbance unfolded on Grand-Rue in Vianden, prompting a significant police response after reports of a gunshot.
Initial police reports indicated that one person had been injured by the gunfire. However, authorities later clarified that while a shot had been fired during an altercation, no injuries were sustained.
According to investigators, the incident involved a fight between the victim and several other individuals, all of whom were acquainted. Multiple police units were dispatched to the scene.
Following a thorough investigation, three suspects were arrested. One of them was found in possession of a machete, which was confiscated.
The arrests were made on orders from the public prosecutor’s office. The suspects are scheduled to appear before an examining magistrate on Tuesday afternoon.
