The thunderstorms that hit on Saturday evening have passed and are not expected to continue this Sunday, which will serve as a transitional day before more summery weather returns.

Just one more day of patience, and the sunshine will be back. According to Meteolux forecasts, Sunday will be grey and rainy in the morning, with noticeably cooler temperatures than in recent days. The afternoon high is expected to reach no more than 25°C, following lingering morning showers across the country.

Summer is set to return from Monday onwards. The national weather service predicts largely clear skies throughout the week, with maximum temperatures between 25 and 27°C. Mornings will be more pleasant too, with lows around 15°C. Temperatures are expected to rise steadily as the week progresses.

Clear blue skies and bright sunshine are forecast to last through to the weekend, with daytime temperatures likely climbing to between 28 and 30°C.
