
On Thursday, police stopped two people suspected of theft in a shopping centre in Bertrange. During a search, they found several items stolen from stores in the centre. A report was filed, and one of the individuals was taken to the detention centre.
Later that day, another man was brought to the same facility after allegedly stealing a wallet from someone in the Gare district of Luxembourg City. According to initial reports, the perpetrator grabbed the victim’s arm to snatch the wallet. He was located shortly afterward, seen by a doctor, and then taken into detention.
It was a busy night leading to Friday for the police. Two men got into a fight on Rue Bender in the city. Both reportedly behaved aggressively, and one was found carrying a knife. The patrol confirmed this on the scene. Both men were heavily intoxicated and considered a danger to themselves and others. After being processed, one of them was sent to the detention centre.
At the emergency room of Esch hospital, a man caused a disturbance just after midnight on Friday. He was visibly drunk and had to be restrained by officers before being examined by a doctor and placed under arrest.
Around 3am, while police were patrolling Rives de Clausen as bars were closing, they noticed a fight. As officers tried to break it up and separate the individuals, a second fight broke out among other people. Police had to call for reinforcements. Several individuals were restrained and brought to the station. Two heavily intoxicated people spent the night in custody for repeatedly interfering with police duties. A report for resisting law enforcement was filed.
