
A man caught the attention of a police patrol in Bettembourg when he was driving around with a severely damaged car. One tyre was flat to the point that the vehicle drove on its rim. The driver’s alcohol test came back positive and officers revoked his license.
A mobile speed camera caught a driver going 95 km/h in a 50 zone in the capital. Officers stopped the man around 11.00 p.m. and found that he was also intoxicated. His license was revoked and the car immobilised since there were no valid insurance papers.
Shortly after midnight, police encountered a man who was driving suspiciously slow on the A4 motorway in the direction of Esch-sur-Alzette. The driver’s alcohol test came back positive.
Police also conducted a large-scale check on Rue de Beggen in the capital on Wednesday evening. They stopped a total of 235 motorists, out of which five tested positive for alcohol. Two drivers were significantly above the legal limit and had their licenses revoked at the scene.
