At around 5.45pm on Saturday, two people were injured in a collision between two cars on the road between Rollingergrund and Bridel. Emergency services from Luxembourg City attended the scene.
The fine weather prompted many to take their motorbikes out, and according to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), three motorcyclists were injured in separate accidents on Saturday – between Budersberg and Kayl, between Wallendorf and Reisdorf, and on the Potaschberg. The SAMU was deployed at the latter location, alongside local rescue teams. The emergency services from Dudelange and Bettembourg responded to the first accident, while teams from Echternach and Reisdorf attended the second.
Later in the evening, at around 10.30pm, the Echternach team was called out again when two cars collided between Bettendorf and Moestroff. Emergency crews from the Nordstad region and Bettendorf also responded.
Shortly after 3am, teams from Luxembourg City and Hesperange were dispatched when a car crashed into a tree between Alzingen and the Schlammestee.
One person was injured in each of the latter two accidents.
