Machine Gun PreacherSam Childers visits Luxembourg for "Man to Human" event

RTL Today
Sam Childers, former member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, converted to Christianity in 1992 and has since been on a mission to rescue children in South Sudan.

Childers is currently on a tour through Luxembourg to talk about his work: he and his wife run the Children’s Village Orphanage in Nimule, South Sudan.

As well as helping children in the war zone, Childers has clashed with the Lords Resistance Army, a rebel group largely functioning as a personality cult for its leader, Joseph Kony.

The LRA often forces children to act as soldiers, which led Childers to defend his orphanage with weapons against the LRA. Childers’ willingness to defend the orphans against the LRA has led to his moniker of Machine Gun Preacher.

Childers will hold presentations at the Lycée Robert Schuman and Ecole de Commerce et Gestion. Afterwards, he will join an event at the Bettembourg church at 7.30pm, organised by the “Man to Human” organisation and the Bettembourg-Frisange Saint-André parish and Bettembourg municipal council.
