The Saarland region of Germany officially took over from Luxembourg on 1 January 2019, and a report on the Luxembourgish presidency was presented in the capital of Luxembourg on Tuesday morning.
In four working groups, the committee has worked on a number of recommendations which it will present at the greater region summit at the end of January.
Jean-Claude Reding hopes that this summit will be used to set the tone of the new presidency and that the Saarland region will prioritise cooperation as much as Luxembourg did during its presidency.
