
Train traffic between Luxembourg and Thionville was suspended in both directions on Tuesday after a train struck three cows near Hettange-Grande, according to SNCF.
The Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL) has confirmed the partial resumption of train traffic on the Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz line between Luxembourg and Thionville. Delays and cancellations may still occur. Passengers are advised to check the timetable on CFL’s website, as well as the CFL mobile application, for more information.
In response to the incident, CFL implemented a replacement bus service operating directly between Luxembourg and Thionville.
CFL suggests that customers also use scheduled buses, as follows:
Bus 501: Luxembourg Kirchberg, Luxexpo/Hugo Gernsback - Howald, PE - Thionville, Foch Kiosque
Bus 502: Luxembourg Kirchberg, Luxexpo/Hugo Gernsback - Luxembourg Gare, Rocade – Place Schumann, Porte Saarlouis - Hettange-Grande,Thionville
Bus 503: Luxembourg Kirchberg, Alphonse Weicker - Thionville, Foch Kiosque
Bus 504: Luxembourg Gasperich, Stade de Luxembourg - Luxembourg, Cloche d’Or - Thionville, Foch Kiosque
Bus 551: Belval Université, Esch/Alzette, Auberge de Jeunesse / Gare routière - Gare routière Thionville, Foch Kiosque
