WarningRaiffeisen Bank warns against scam attempts

RTL Today
Raiffeisen clients are currently being targeted by SMS phishing attempts.

According to the bank's preventative statement, published on their website, a number of their clients had received a text message purporting to be from the bank.

The phishing scam aims to obtain identifying information and bank account details from customers. Raiffeisen said the text message leads customers to believe their usual access to their account is blocked, and asks them to follow a link such as "bit.ly".

The bank reiterated that they do not communicate with clients via SMS and urged clients not to open any links of this sort. Clients wishing to access their account can do so in the usual way on the Raiffeisen app and on their website.
