Luxembourg police were called to a supermarket in Mersch on Tuesday night following reports of two individuals brandishing a weapon.
According to a police statement, a group of people had gathered in the parking lot when two individuals exited a car – one allegedly carrying a weapon, the other wearing a balaclava. After demanding names from the group, the pair drove away. Officers later located and stopped their vehicle.
A search uncovered two blank-firing pistols, a truncheon, a switchblade, a balaclava, and a large sum of cash. Police issued a fine for violations of weapons laws.
