Road safety checksPolice reports 370 tax warnings in one week

RTL Today
In January, the police checked many vehicles as part of the "Gutt Siicht" road safety campaign. Between 24 and 30 January, 370 tax warnings were issued.

The police detected 166 cases of lighting problems or illegible number plates. More than 180 warnings were issued to drivers because of their vehicle documents.

23 drivers did not present their driving licences, 17 did not have a tax sticker and 23 had not paid their taxes. In addition, 35 people were fined because they did not have their insurance certificate.

The remaining 47 motorists were unable to present a roadworthiness certificate, which cost them two points and a tax warning.
