At around 5.30 am on Sunday morning, a drunk driver was involved in an accident in Sanem. The woman was visibly inebriated and her license was confiscated on the spot. The police report specified that she wet herself in the patrol car on the way to the police station.
Police were forced to suspend another license in Sandweiler. A woman had consumed enough alcohol to fall asleep behind the wheel, driving her car into a roadside ditch. Material damage was significant: the bumper was torn off, the right side of the car was dented and one of the tyres was flat.
A third license was seized in Mersch, where another driver had also enjoyed one drink too many before getting behind the wheel.
