Only on Tuesday did the price of diesel surge by 3.6 cents, reaching €1.428 per litre.
Starting Wednesday, petrol will follow suit: Unleaded 98 will rise to €1.476 per litre (+1.8 cents), and unleaded 95 – the most commonly sold petrol – will climb to €1.586 (+1.4 cents)
