New petitionsPetitions available to sign include collecting overtime and winter/summertime referendum

RTL Today
The petitions committee approved a number of new petitions on Tuesday. These petitions are now able to officially collect signatures.

The first petition calls for the possibility to collect overtime hours, with the petitioner suggesting employees use this option to retire earlier.

The second petition demands that restaurants offer guests free tap water.

The committee also approved two petitions asking for penalties when adverts or municipal information papers are put in letterboxes with clear signposting against promotional material.
The next petition approved by the committee calls for a referendum to decide on whether Luxembourg should adopt year-round winter or summertime once the EU abolishes seasonal clock changes.

The petitioners have 42 days to collect a sufficient amount of signatures. Once a petition reaches 4,500 signatures, the Chamber of Deputies must organise an open debate on the topic.
