In 2025, over 257,000 people visited the casemates in Luxembourg City, according to the annual report published by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO).

The report, released during the LCTO's general assembly, confirms that the casemates remain highly popular as the capital continues to attract growing numbers of tourists.

Guided tours were also in high demand, with nearly 4,900 tours organised last year. Visits to the Grand Ducal Palace were completely booked, reaching almost 10,000 participants in 2025.

More than 180,000 people visited the LCTO premises on Place Guillaume II. The majority were German nationals, followed by visitors from France, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

Digitally, 2025 was also a strong year: the LCTO's website recorded 1.3 million visits, and social media engagement increased as well. Beyond digital growth, the LCTO continues to place great importance on personal contact, including through new services such as "Luxembourg Welcomers", who accompany and provide information to tourists at various locations across the capital.
