For hours now, bank transfers and payment authentications via LuxTrust have not been possible due to what the provider describes as a major "network failure".

The outage at LuxTrust has now been ongoing for several hours. So far, LuxTrust has not issued any official communication to customers or about the cause of the problems. As a result, the cause can only be speculated about – whether technical faults or a cyberattack.

In any case, identification via the app is currently not possible. The company, which is based in Capellen, has not said how long the problems will last.

A statement on the website reads:

“Since 3.20pm, some of our services, including authentication, have been unavailable due to a technical incident. The cause has now been identified. We would like to reassure you that this issue has no impact on the integrity of our systems, customer data, or the security of transactions. Our teams are fully engaged and working to restore services as quickly as possible.”
