The Umbrella Organisation of Luxembourg Care Providers (COPAS) has called for a fundamental reorientation of the country’s healthcare system, proposing a model with a stronger focus on patient-centered care.

The organisation argues that such a shift would help individuals maintain their autonomy longer, increase the use of at-home care services, and reduce the need for hospital treatment. This recommendation comes in response to several converging challenges: an ageing population, a rise in chronic illnesses, and a persistent shortage of medical specialists within the sector.
