In a press release, the CFL estimated that no trains would run between the two towns until midnight on Saturday. There are rail replacement buses running between Esch-sur-Alzette and Audun-le-Tiche.
The technical issue began just after 4.30pm. In addition to the reduced service, the CFL outlined that there could be further delays and cancellations on the whole 60 line.
