In addition to a reported mugging in Luxembourg City, police responded to multiple break-ins and thefts throughout Friday afternoon and evening.

On Friday afternoon, burglars targeted a home on Route d’Arlon in Belair. Later that evening, another break-in occurred on Grand-Rue in Troisvierges, where intruders stole food and other items. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.

In a separate series of incidents, several vehicles were broken into across the city. Late Friday afternoon, unknown suspects smashed the window of a car parked in the Bambësch car park and stole a backpack. That same evening in Ville-Haute, a laptop was taken from a vehicle stationed on Boulevard Prince Henri. Authorities have launched investigations into both thefts.

Police initially responded to reports of a brawl on Rue Alphonse Weicker in Kirchberg on Friday evening. Upon arrival, officers determined the altercation was in fact a mugging after one suspect approached the victim and snatched a necklace from their neck. A manhunt was launched but proved unsuccessful. The case remains under investigation.
