
Luxembourg authorities responded to multiple burglary reports on Thursday, with incidents occurring in several municipalities throughout the day.
In Leudelange, would-be intruders attempted to break into a residence on Rue de Luxembourg during the afternoon but fled when confronted by a resident.
Meanwhile, in the Clausen neighbourhood in Luxembourg City, thieves successfully entered a bar and stole cash from the register.
The crime wave continued in Kockelscheuer, where suspects smashed a vehicle window on Rue de la Ferme and stole a bag. Similar vehicle break-ins were reported on Rue du Fort Olisy in Pfaffenthal.
Police launched investigations into all incidents.
Finally, on Thursday night in Contern, officers responded to a burglary report on Op der Kaul street and spotted a suspicious vehicle. After a pursuit, police stopped the car at the CR132-CR153 intersection.
A suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Following orders from the public prosecutor’s office, authorities arrested the individual and seized the vehicle.
