Asselborn was in intensive care for nine days after falling on Sunday 2 June. On Wednesday 12 June, he was discharged from hospital and returned home.
The minister had to be hospitalised as his fall caused a large haematoma on his back, which required medical treatment.
With the exception of meeting the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Asselborn had cancelled all ministerial appointments. He did however tell RTL he planned to be fit to join a meeting of the Benelux foreign ministers along their Baltic counterparts on Sunday evening.
Asselborn will return to his full schedule as of next week and has a busy agenda, including a visit to a refugee shelter in Greece.
