The Grand Duchy is bracing for another couple of extremely hot days, with Meteolux adjusting its warnings accordingly.
From Thursday to midnight on Saturday, the southern parts of the country will remain under orange alert, signalling a period of heightened heat stress. In the north, a yellow alert will be in force over the same period.
Temperatures are expected to rise further, with forecasts predicting highs of up to 37°C. A slight drop is anticipated from Sunday onwards, with temperatures set to fall to below 30°C.
The country’s Water Management Authority has reiterated that the “vigilance phase” regarding drinking water, in place since 10 July, remains active. The ongoing heat is leading to increased water consumption, while water resources remain under pressure. Residents and businesses are urged to save water and minimise all non-essential use.
