Around 4.45am on Sunday, police in Steinfort pulled over a driver who had been speeding on the Route de Luxembourg. During the stop, officers noticed clear signs that the man was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Both a breathalyser and a drug test yielded positive results, confirming their suspicions.
According to police, the situation escalated when the driver refused to hand over his car keys and became uncooperative. He was taken to the police station, where his behaviour worsened – he insulted officers and became aggressive. Following a medical examination, the man was placed in custody.
