
Last year, the sector reported a 4.8% increase in profits compared to 2023, corresponding to over €627 million.
Luxembourg’s Institute of Regulation (ILR) published its latest findings on Thursday.
The main driver of the profits is the mobile services market, representing over half the sector’s revenue. Luxembourg also saw an increase in the average revenue per user, which reached €54.6 per month – a high level by European standards.
High speed internet has also seen an increase, with over 95% of households now served by networks offering speeds greater than or equal to 1 Gbps. Fibre optic coverage has also progressed significantly, reaching a total of 83.8%.
