Luxembourg police successfully resolved two property crimes on Monday, apprehending suspects in both a completed burglary in Howald and an attempted break-in in Livange.

At around 11.30am on Monday, authorities responded to a break-in at a single-family home on Rue Ernest Beres. The intruder stole a mobile phone, headphones, and clothing before fleeing. Through investigative work, police later recovered the electronic devices and arrested the suspected thief.

Later that day at around 5.45pm, police were alerted to an attempted burglary at a residential garage on Rue de Peppange. The would-be intruder fled after being confronted by a resident. Officers conducting a search operation apprehended a suspect at Bettembourg station.

During the arrest, police discovered two stolen credit cards and cash in the suspect’s possession. Further investigation revealed these items had been taken during an earlier vehicle break-in.
